Funfetti Cookies 8/25/10

Making cookies is a lot of work and lot of mixing, ahh, heck baking is a lot of work. If you're not into making cookies from scratch then this might something you want to try. It's super simple, soft, chewy and yummy. Everyone will love it :-)

Wanna make it too? Here's how to do make it.

INGREDIENTS
1 Box Pillsbury Moist Supreme Funfetti Cake Mix
1/3
oil
2eggs
1/2Can Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Funfetti Vanilla Frosting (optional)

DIRECTIONS
1.
Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, combine cake mix, oil and eggs; stir with spoon until thoroughly moistened. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. With bottom of glass dipped in flour, flatten to 1/4-inch thickness.
2. Bake at 375°F. for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
3. Spread frosting over warm cookies. Immediately sprinkle each with candy bits from frosting. Let frosting set before storing. Store in tightly covered container.

** I didn't put frosting on the cookies I made and it was just as good. I felt that the cookies were already sweet as it is so I opted out the frosting.

Chocolate Graduation Cap 8/17/10

I've been slowing down with my post lately but I will try to keep up, I promise. I made this a while back, maybe July, for a graduation party.

They asked me to make a cake and some cake balls, but I had enough green chocolate melted to make some of the caps.
You need one of these things, they're sour and they are yummy. I looked all over for these sucker all over the place. Even at the bigger supermarket and didn't find them. I finally tried the dollar general store and they were tons of them. They're cheap too, 10 cents a piece.

Then you can take them out and cut them up in little pieces. Whatever you don't use you can eat, LOL! I do wish they have other colors but....

When you have all you need, you can set them aside. Oh, you will also need the mini M&M's.

Make sure you place the stick before it sets.

The top part of the cap.

All set and done :-)

I was a bit disappointed with the cake. I didn't crumb coat it and as you can see, some of the crumbs showed. O well, they said it was good and I'm happy to hear.

Mini peach cobbler 8/14/10

I would have to say, even though I love to bake, I'm not into sweets. I don't like cookies or cakes, but I sure love making them. I also enjoy peoples faces when they bite into the baked goods I make for them.

The other day I made some mini peach cobbler. I called them mini since they are baked in individual ramekins.

I actually liked it, it was tarty and not too sweet.
