Be still MY HEART

** Just to let you know this is a re-post that I did a year ago **

I'm at it again with the cake pops, cake bites, cake balls. LOL! I might be caked out by the time Valentines Day rolls along. I was going to buy the peanut butter cup mold online but I went to A.C. Moore and I found the mold, and it was cheaper than the one online. I'm so happy, la la la....

I started with the Oreo truffles but I wanted to make more so I ended up making some chocolate cake, NOT from the box. I might try my Mocha Choco recipe for this and see what that would taste next time.

OK let's get started, shall we?
For the Oreo truffles you need just this 2 ingredients to make the truffles. Cream cheese and Oreo cookies, and no you can't eat the cream. You put that into the crusher as well. I'm referring to my food processor, ha ha.

Then you get this (below)
Then you mix the two together and let the magic begin. You can pretty much eat this at this point but don't, so you can play with the melted chocolates. LOL!

You can use a small ice cream scoops or use a spoon and form into an inch ball.

Like these guys. I even made a heart, and that was it. I made one, it wasn't that easy and I decided to stick with the cake balls.

You will need candy wafers or you can use the chocolate bark. I like the bark, I think they taste good and they're smoother. I used the wafers 'coz it's what I have at the moment.

Make sure you read the instruction on how to melt the wafers or it will either harden or will not work.

I kind of miss the peanut butter mold part but if you look at the picture, you kind of get the whole thing here. Pour melted chocolate into the mold and place the cake ball or the Oreo truffle, which is the one I used on this. Place in the fridge for several minutes so he bottom part won't stick when you pop them out.

This is what it looks like when it hardens up, I did the white chocolate as well.

Pretty in Red? I love how it's soooo pretty already and it's not even done yet. SERIOUSLY!!! Look below, I made it more prettier.

See, I told you. I dressed it up :-) and now it's ready for close-up.

Tadaaaaaaa!!! Now they're ready to be eaten. All those hard work has paid off and my biggest fan loved it. Hubby and kids are my biggest fan and that's why I keep baking :-) I will be taking some of these to my meeting tomorrow and hope the ladies will like them.

Aren't they pretty? Stop drooling already. LOL!

Are you just going to look at it or are you gonna go make some? Well, maybe tomorrow, it's a bit late now.

Mini Cone Cake Bites 11/24/10

Who doesn't love ice cream? ME! Yup ME, I'm not a fan of ice cream. So when I saw THIS and it's not ice cream, YES, it looks like it but trust me it's not. I knew I had to make it.

This would be the perfect time to make it, since there will be a lot of kids at our Thanksgiving dinner.

You start with this little itty bitty cones.

See.... I told you they're itty bitty and super cute!

The best part of this, is the cake bite on top...
Then, you dip it in the melted chocolate and sprinkle. All I have left if chocolate and a little bit of red colored wafer chips. So, I made mine chocolate mini cone bites. I think it looks just as good as the other ones. LOL!
You can't just make one, so I made an army. LOL!

Deceiving DONUTS! 4/19/10

Ok, this was not my idea but I've seen it. I didn't know who it was and all I saw were pictures of the cake ball / donut and a quarter next to it to show how small it really is. She didn't show how to make it or anything so I had to try and make my own. When I first saw it, I really thought it was a donut but when I saw the quarter next to it, I just couldn't believe my eyes.

I had to try it right away, good thing I already had some cake ready for the cake balls I had to make for a friend. So I made my own cake ball / donut.

When you have all the cake mixed with the frosting. You can flatten them out in a wax paper about 1/2 thick and use any round cutter you have that's about an inch in diameter. I don't have such cutter so I used my big wilton tip.
Cut up a bunch and place them in the side or in a wax paper.
See how pretty they are already.
I then took another wilton tip and use the bottom to cut put the middle part. Make sure you save the middle part and place it back in with the other cake mix.
I got tired of making the donut shape so I just flattened some. Dip them in any colored chocolate you want and re-dip the half part. I used peanut butter for the half part to make it look like the real donut dipped in caramel. Then sprinkle any kind you want.
Don't they look like donuts?
If you didn't believe me, then see how tiny they are? I had to use my hand 'coz I didn't want to put it next to a quarter.
I drizzled some with chocolate.
Sprinkles!
The rest of the cake mix I turned into regular cake balls drizzled with melted peanut butter wafer.
Mini cakeball / donut treats
Chocolate too!
This one wanted to drizzled so they got drizzled, LOL!
See how tiny they are, next to the cake balls?

Let me know if you make one and make sure you come visit my facebook page and post your own creations there.

Thank you cake balls 3/28/10

I made these cake balls to giveaway to friends and families for when I see them on Saturday at the Banquet (3/27/10). These are red velvet flavored cake and dipped in white chocolate and semi sweet chocolate. I got the treat box from Michael's and it was on sale. The size was just perfect for the cake balls.

White chocolate drizzled with the semi sweet chocolate. These are hubby's favorite so I have to hide it from him, or he will eat the whole entire thing. :-)

Semi sweet chocolate, he doesn't fancy this too much but he likes it too.

I gave a box to my friend Michelle Mah Belle, to my MIL and FIL and I brought 2 extra boxes with me at the Banquet which was gone and eaten after dinner. They had cake balls instead of having some sweet treats they had at the dessert table.
